2019 Student Requisite Pack Information


The following information is provided in relation to parent payments approved by School Council for the 2019 school year.

 

Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring that their children are provided with essential educational items. The college makes every effort to keep the cost of items that need to be purchased to a minimum. Parents/guardians also have the option of providing essential education items themselves.

 

If you have any concerns in relation to meeting the cost of essential educational items please contact the College on 9395 3533 to organise a meeting to discuss alternative payment arrangements. Any information about your financial circumstances, payment arrangements or status will be kept strictly confidential.

Payment and collection of Student Classroom Requisite Packs will be as follows:

We would appreciate payment by the above mentioned dates. Please contact the college on 9395 3533 on either 23 or 24 January 2019 if you are unable to collect Student Classroom Requisite Packs at your allocated time.

 

Payment via BPay or COMPASS

You may elect to make payment for the Student Classroom Requisite Pack, Curriculum Service Charge and Parent Voluntary Contribution via BPay or COMPASS. The Student Classroom Requisite Pack will be delivered to the classroom for the first day of school. We can accept payments via BPay and COMPASS commencing from Thursday 17 January 2019. Parents/guardians of 2019 Year 9 students will receive separate confirmation of Year 9 elective costs and payment timelines.

 

Uniform

Uniform is available from the PSW retail outlet located at Unit 1, 16 to 17 Hammer Court, Hoppers Crossing.

 

Locker Locks Years 5 to 9

The college conducted a review of the distribution and charge for locker locks resulting in these being included with the Student Classroom Requisite packs in Year 5 only. The lock is to be carried forward for Years 6 to 9, thus reducing costs to parents. New students in these year levels will need to purchase a lock from the college.

 

School Commencement and Attendance

Students from Years 1 to 9 will begin school on Wednesday 30 January 2019 at 8.45 am.

 

Students in Foundation will begin school on Thursday 31 January 2019 at 8.45 am. They will attend school on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday during January and February, commencing full time in March.

 

Curriculum Days 2019

The Department of Education and Training allow four pupil-free days to schools for professional development, school planning and administration, curriculum development & planning and student assessment & reporting. School Council has approved the following dates in the 2019 school:

Please note the Parent Payments listed above are minimum charges and the College will absorb additional student costs for essential educational items throughout 2019.

Student Classroom Requisite Pack Essential Educational Items

These are items which parents/guardians pay the school to provide or may provide themselves, if appropriate. The Student Classroom Requisite Pack, which our supplier can provide, includes initial student requisites for the year and the online maths resource for Years Foundation to 6. Additionally a book bag is included for Foundation students and for students in Years 5 to 9 a learning journal. Locks are issued in Year 5 and should be carried forward throughout Years 6 to 9.

 

Curriculum Service Charge Years 7 & 8

The Curriculum Service Charge will contribute to the cost of additional essential educational items that parents are required to provide or pay the college to provide for students in Years 7 and 8 for Food Technology, Materials Technology and Textiles.

 

Year 9 Elective Charges

The Year 9 Elective Charges will contribute to the cost of additional essential educational items that parents are required to provide or pay the college to provide.

 

Students submitted a preference sheet and have been allocated to two Year 9 Electives per semester in 2019, costs of each elective are detailed above. Separate confirmation will be sent to parents of 2019 Year 9 students.

 

Payment options

Curriculum Service Charges & Year 9 Elective Charges

Payment options of the Curriculum Service Charge and Year 9 Elective Charges are:

  • remittance in full at the beginning of the year, or
  • payment to be split across 2 semesters, payable at the commencement of each semester, or
  • payment to be split across 4 terms, payable at the beginning of each term.

 

For your convenience you may wish to complete the enclosed authorisation to debit your credit card the amount due each semester or term per student.

 

Voluntary Financial Contribution

You are invited to make a voluntary financial contribution and an amount suggested by School Council is $100.00 per student. This contribution will be used to support the college’s ongoing project to install high fencing and improve ICT resources at both schools. Payment of a voluntary contribution, the amount of your determination, will be welcomed and accepted at any time throughout the course of the year.

 

Please Note

Additional school charges may arise during the year for excursions, camps, sport, swim programs etc. 

 

Art Smocks

Could parents please provide an art smock to protect student’s uniform in art classes. This could be an art smock, old adult shirt or t-shirt. Thank you.
