Year 3/4 Boardwalk School Swimming Program to be held at AquaPulse in Hoppers Crossing from Wednesday 2nd – Friday 11th August 2017 (week 3 of next term).

This is an intensive program in which students will receive a 45 minute swimming and water-safety lesson for eight days in a row.  After an initial swimming assessment students will be placed into ability groups based on their level of skill.

This year AquaPulse is introducing the Swim & Survive™ program.  The Swim & Survive™ program is a comprehensive swimming and water safety course resulting in the Victorian Water Safety Certificate which is mandated by the Victorian Government for primary school aged students.  Students will need to bring a set of light clothes that can get wet on the second last day of the program (Thurs 10th Aug) to demonstrate a 'continuous survival sequence' by swimming in clothes.  If they do not bring them they can still do the activity but they will not be able to get the Certificate.

The cost of the program is $115.  The higher charge this year is due to a very significant increase in transport costs.  Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund (CSEF) applies if eligible.

If you would like to attend the program and watch your child swim, it is advisable to speak with your child's teacher to find out what time they are swimming.  Parents may walk through the school's entrance at AquaPulse to avoid paying AquaPulse's $2 spectator fee.
