Year 9 Photography excursion - Urban Landscapes

Students visited areas of Melbourne city with the intention of creating works based on the Urban Landscape. In this excursion we visited a number of scenic locations including areas of Southbank, Federation Square and Hosier Lane. Students were asked to use the skills they have developed during the photographic elective classes, including using manual elements of the camera such as aperture and shutter speed. They also played with compositional techniques such as leading lines and the rule of thirds, tone, colour and shape which have been enhanced using Adobe Lightroom, to produce the delightful portfolio of work which is now on display in the hallway gallery at Boardwalk.
