Jamieson Way Report

Our Foundation students were the real stars during their Wild Action Mini Beasts incursion last week.  Students were super-excited and were so engaged during the sessions involving a wide range of little creatures; listening intently, learning and using so much language and joining in with enthusiasm. The learning that resulted from these sessions is impressive.

Our Year 7 students produced some very impressive project work last week for their Ancient Civilisations Expo. Their teachers were proud of the collaboration, the focused work, the quality research and creative approaches taken by students  to display their learning. Our Year 5/6 students were fortunate to be the target audience for this expo, and were able to view each project, asking questions of the researchers about their knowledge and understandings.

Attendance has certainly improved with our H.E.R.O Program. However we ask our families to remember that school begins at 8:45am. Late students not only miss out on their own learning when they enter the classroom late, they also interrupt the learning happening in the class for all of the students. The 'O' in HERO stands for ON TIME.

Will your child be a HERO this week?

The Premier's Reading Challenge continues - daily reading benefits learning.

Enjoy your child this week.
